About Us
We are a team of professionals with decades of combined experience.
Established in 2016 by Rob Ewart and Nick Ryan, Ranfab began as specialists in mobile welding, travelling to their work sites to assist with steel beams, plates, and post welding construction. Although still very much part of their business, they have since diversified into steel fabrication with modular construction as their core strength.
Ranfab is currently based in Yatala, Queensland, with an associated business in New Zealand.
MEET THE TEAM
Rob Ewart
Originally from NZ, Rob moved to Queensland in 2003 with his wife and daughters. A fan of outdoor living, especially the camping options, he finds the winters here are “absolutely awesome”.
Rob is a qualified boilermaker and certified welder in GMAW and MMAW welding and obtained his Cert 4 in Safety several years ago.

Nick Ryan
Originally from Victoria, Nick moved north to Queensland 25 years ago. Nick is a family man with three great kids, growing up very fast, who mean the absolute world to him.
Nick has been in the building industry for over 30 years. Firstly with timber, before moving into the steel fabrication side of things where he has spent the last 16 years working on a wide range of projects. One of Nick’s strongest points is his problem-solving.

Michael Pluim
Mike has been in the steel fabrication industry for over 40 years.
Mike brought with him a wealth of knowledge when he joined Ranfab in January 2022. Mike has slotted in perfectly with a very casual but professional approach to all work aspects and has now proven to be a valuable member of Ranfab.

Linda Sing
Originally from Australia and now based in Seattle, Linda brings a unique blend of IT, accounting, and process improvement expertise to her role as Business Operations Manager. With a keen eye for efficiency and a passion for creating streamlined systems, she thrives on helping teams and businesses run smoothly.
Outside of work, Linda channels her love of animals into dog sitting — and proudly says she’s never met a dog she didn’t like!
