Caribou – Aircraft Restoration

Ranfab was engaged to assist Dreamworld in bringing this unique and ambitious project to life. Our first step was fabricating a solid steel structural spine, designed to run through the main fuselage of the heritage-listed Caribou aircraft. Once securely bolted into place, the fuselage was carefully craned into position and lowered onto our prefabricated supports, achieving the dramatic crash-landing effect.

We then moved on to installing the wings and, finally, the tail section, each component firmly attached to the central steel framework. This project was truly one of a kind—technically challenging and incredibly rewarding. We’re proud to have played a role in preserving such a significant piece of aviation history.
